mining tymobile iron o re magnetic separators

One type of inductor that is treated separately in the web-based design is the gapped inductor type.

This may sound a little strange

Water hasnt 100A General Purpose Single Phase Latching Relay been simply, water, for some time, or since it was chemically analysed. Any such heat generation, can result in a change in the liquids viscosity, thickness/thinness, ability to flow. Or partly so! It should be remembered that twenty-five years ago, and anywhere from there back, the properties of rubber seals were different. The fluid and indeed all oils were much different and had little agreement with the rubbers available at the time. Incidentally, dissimilar materials in juxtaposition and dynamically, are better than similar ones.

It can also have a negative effect on the various sealing arrangement, whether steel on steel, rubber/plastic and its composites (sometimes brass or bronze impregnated polymers), or indeed, where cast iron replaces steel. Friction does exist, even with fluid, and this as well as compressive forces, is the cause of heat generation. . Hydraulics are exceptional at what they do, and large forces can be transmitted through tight radii, and indeed, returned through 180 degrees, such is its theory with respect to acting equally in all directions. Not deviating, but going some way to explain where the hydraulic oil/brake fluid, actually went. Many years later and some hydraulic experience, it seems that he was right. I was young and curious, but he explained that water would suffice. His saving, was the short piston movement, the relatively slow speed of his vehicle, and the limited time of usage. Modern hydraulic oils have anti-foaming, anti-wear (component-wise), anti-corrosive, lubrication, and heat dissipation properties.

This may sound a little strange, but one day a man called in looking for some water for his car. It is the purity of the water that changes its usability, but anything will do in an emergency. That was not unusual, until he started to put it into his hydraulic reservoir for the braking system of his car. This is even better in a corrosive atmosphere, where for example, salty air will compromise all exposed parts. On a lighter note, if such an improvising individual was thirsty, then he would have a choice between his brake fluid reservoir, his window washer reservoir, or indeed, his radiator. Leakages were commonplace. They also have special properties that limit their ability to compress, which is the area that hydraulic excels over pneumatic. Lol!

Seriously though, this would be a reason why battery top-ups, should be done with distilled or pure water. Higher control comes with the solidity of the fluid, much as that sounds like a contradiction. Incidentally, pure water is an insulator, though I wouldnt have the confidence to test the theory on a personal level, with four hundred volts. Steel on cast iron, generally, is better that steel on steel. So, while this man went for the only resource available at that point in time, the pressure generated should be similar, or the difference negligible, he would have been missing the lubrication properties that oils achieve. Hydraulic systems have replaced the numerous and purely mechanical applications, where the moving parts are essentially and consistently lubricated. Though many may frown upon it, water is still efficient as a medium for hydraulic pressure, in the very short term, and especially in the case of a braking system in a general performance automobile. Indeed, pneumatic control is favoured where there are risks of contamination, from the oil itself, and this is one of the reasons that air is preferred to oil in a lot of production systems

Sales usually always comes down to the numbers

Get to the Next Lead!Sales usually always comes down to the numbers. We can't pick the right leads! We invariably gravitate to our biases, which is typically counter productive to our sales numbers. This is a strategy that greatly improves your profit and saves your company from throwing away money for marketing. Companies are throwing away opportunities every day."Simply getting onto the next lead will produce more sales than any other strategy. It is not a tool to build sales relationships, with hundreds of clients, over numerous years. Smart sales people build a detailed follow-up plan that includes email, mail, and telephone.

Bringing in customers with less leads is key in this climate. Two notoriously bad choices. Stop Picking Threw LeadsThe Call of the Wild fouls this one up too, our primal nature lures us to the biggest fish (whale) of the freshest meat (new lead). Email is a communication tool. So, if you hit it be happy, but don't expect to pay your bills and feed yourself playing that game. And don't forget the value at each of DC Immunity current transformer those touch points--an interesting article or report, an example of success, or best practices session. Start to Value Your LeadsAre you trashing valuable non-responsive customers? More so than ever, leads need to be effectively nurtured.5. Email Doesn't = CRM SoftwareThis is unquestionably the top killer of sales leads.Your attempts at remembering to follow-up and diligently stay on top of hundreds of prospects and customers is a guaranteed failure.2.Grabbing for the brass ring (tackling only the biggest accounts or loan amounts) and neglecting the opportunity to land a few small ones along the way, is the perfect example. Stay top of mind, so you will be first in mind when the pain or the need becomes right for the big buy. Industry surveys show that the average lead takes a minimum of 5-7 contacts to close and generally requires 30-60 days.

Your sales management system should help you create an ideal lead profile for each of your sales agents. So, don't get frustrated and toss out that two week old lead--nurture it.This doesn't mean just throwing all your old leads into the autoresponder. You will be amazed at how different your "perfect lead" looks from your "preferred lead. Meant for short-term discussions or collaborations, not sales account management. In today's business climate it's no secret for the need of a strong customer base and to keep attracting new ones. But, real sales professionals know the real probability ranks up with winning the lottery. Challenging economic conditions slows everyone's buying decisions."4. Yes, we all want more customers with less leads. One Call Close are UnlikelyIt is certainly the stuff of sales legend, that Boiler Room like close. How many times do we spend too much time organizing or getting ready to do something? The best strategy in most cases is to do as my Dad was found of saying, "Do something, even if it's wrong.3. Get To Your Leads Now!

The dream is however a very good dream

Your morals and your friendships must remain more important than any dubious profits you can make with high priced or unwanted products sold to your unwilling down line. Remember the saying about a rainy day? RoHS compliant Two-phase Relay You may have your job and may be saving up, but there could come a "rainy day". The ethical concessions necessary to be "successful" in many MLM companies are stark and difficult to deal with for most people. This is more important than most people realize. .Email me if you want recommendations of companies that provide for the dream without the negatives. Only a few at the top make moneyThis is a very important point and many MLM companies are guilty as charged.

The structure is such that a few people at the top make very good money and this is advertised, published and used as the bait to get new recruits. MLM's recruit too many salespeople, who in turn will then attempt to recruit even more salespeople causing over saturation and participants to lose money. If the products or services of the MLM Company are not what would normally be bought by your down line and they are not priced at or better than available elsewhere, without the participation discounts, then one must be cautious about pushing those products or services. One has to be very careful to join only those MLM Companies that are genuinely selling products or services. 3. You will almost certainly lose your shirt. The dream is however a very good dream - ongoing passive income. Only offer them what would benefit them, not what would benefit you.7.Be very careful not to join any MLM that is top heavy and trumpet how much their top brass is making unless you are there right at the start. Minimum purchase requirementsThis is another danger zone.Ok, now that everyone is frightened of joining the wrong type of MLM but is convinced they need an ongoing income, what can be done?It is important to watch out for a few things when considering joining an MLM:-Stay away from companies that have a "special niche" product even if it is the "best in the world".

These types of structures mean that most of the down line do not make money and infect get into debt and all sorts of problems. You have to hunt carefully and study every possibility. One must try and stay away from MLM's that make unrealistic demands on new recruits.5.-Stay away from companies that sell you their promotional materials and inspirational tapes at anything above what it would cost them. Meetings, tapes, seminars, videos, joining fees, annual fees and other costsOne has to be very careful not to join any MLM that costs too much to join or remain a member of. Always think of their welfare first and foremost. This is one of the biggest traps and the costs can sky rocket. Friends and family are targets for exploitation. There are many ways of achieving that and everyone must aim for it.1.-Stay away from companies that have too much of hype - they probably have something to hide. For most though it leads to disaster.-Stay away from companies that pay you for recruiting members-Stay away from companies that have high priced products at the retail level, meaning the final consumer level.2. MLM sells a dreamYes, MLM's sell dreams and for some they come true. This does happen with some MLM's which have a narrow range of little used products and can be detrimental to the participants.Wow, is there any MLM Company left to consider?

Yes, there are but they are a small percentage of the total.-Stay away from companies that do not sell anything you would not normally buy or use. Many companies involved in multi-level marketing are thinly veiled pyramid schemes only made legal by the presence of a product or service.4.6. One can land up with shelves and even rooms full of unwanted goods.-Stay away from companies that require you to buy minimum quantities every month to qualify for something or other. One way is to build up an ongoing income with a good MLM.However, if the MLM Company has a wide range of products and services and these are commonly used and well priced items then the problem does not arise.-Stay away from companies that have only a few products.Friends and family should be treated as such and always as more important than any money you can make from them.Let us discuss each of the problems that knockers of MLM raise.8.However, the central thing is the dream of an ongoing income independent of your employment. For example, you could lose your job and you have to be prepared for that

This really is an ideal entry level machine

This really is an ideal entry level machine if you're looking to buy your very first real home espresso maker. And, as a bonus, the machine should last forever. If the coffee was ground correctly and also the grounds were tamped using the right amount of pressure, the brew time ought to be close to 28 seconds. It is very easy to fall in miniature relay love with the Gaggia Classic simply because it's so simple to make your favorite espresso drinks. And this machine does this flawlessly. The Gaggia Classic delivers espresso as good or better than those more costly manual lever and piston machines, or even the super automated machines.

The water reservoir is simple to fill, even while the machine is in use, and also the toggle switches are simple to use. The brewing process starts with the simple flip of a switch and then you choose to end the extraction by turning the switch in the opposite direction. The Gaggia Classic is a "semi-automatic espresso machine". This extremely affordably priced machine creates superb espresso shots and deserves every bit of its top ranking. This is one of Gaggia's all-time greatest selling models, and they just keep making it much better.A notable feature of the Classic is that the portafilter and brew group on this device are impressively substantial and well-made, and are nearly as heavy as those on large commercial machines that cost multiple-thousands of dollars. When you've mastered this process you'll consistently turn out ideal shots of espresso which are capped by a thick, rich crema.

This is a very well designed and well built machine, does a great job of producing espresso drinks, and is really a pleasure to make use of.Pay careful attention to the instructions which correctly emphasize the importance of getting the best grind and using correct tamping technique for making a superior espresso drink. What better way is there to start your day than by enjoying a rich, creamy latte or cappuccino that you created yourself? Treat yourself to a Gaggia Classic. Other excellent features, usually found only on commercial-grade machines, is a 3-way solenoid valve that automatically releases the pressure from the brew group, a really quick and efficient boiler, and a strong pump capable of producing up to 17 bars of pressure. It consistently produces aromatic espresso shots that are topped with perfect crema. It feels and acts industrial grade, but still looks excellent in the kitchen. Don't feel badly if your first several attempts at producing an espresso leave you less than impressed. It's durable stainless steel construction give it a industrial feel. When you do it will deliver an espresso drink that's every bit as great as what you will pay $5 for at Starbucks. Brewing consistently perfect espresso shots is just a matter of mastering the variables of grinding, dosing, tamping, and timing, all critical elements in producing a perfect shot.

The machine includes a very good frother even though the frother does receive some complaints, primarily because it works so nicely at foaming milk when occasionally all you need to do is heat the milk by steaming it. With this class of espresso machine you have control over grinding, dosing, tamping, and timing. If there's an espresso machine that's a perennial favorite, and a real workhorse, it would have to be the Gaggia Classic. The heavy, long lasting chrome plated brass portafilter helps stabilize the temperature during brewing. There are plenty of manufacturers of espresso machines in the "semi-automatic" class, but dollar-for-dollar and pound-for-pound you won't find another machine that offers the well-built sturdiness, the ease of operation, the clean lines, and most importantly the quality of the espresso that the Classic does. You'll eventually get the hang of it, and whenever you do your espresso drinks will be perfect. It's simple to set up, easy to use, and simple to clean.

The strings travel over the fret board

The strings travel over the fret board and the distance they are above the fret board makes a difference to the playability of the guitar. Who knows?. BODY: This is the part with the sound hole in the front. It is where the strumming is done, and it can vary in size. The actual size, shape, type of wood, coating, and general build of the body also affects how the guitar will "sound", whether it's a rich and warm sound, or a thin and 'twangy' sound. Light strings are easier to press than heavy strings but also sound quite different. Buying new, gives you a warranty and, hopefully, a return period, if for some reason you're not totally satisfied with your purchase, or something goes wrong. They have a rich, warm sound to them. But whether you buy new or used may be determined by many personal factors, and each has their own pros and cons.

Necks tend to warp and twist if not looked after, or if the guitar is left propped against a heat source. The strings are usually fed through the bridge first before they cross the hole and travel up the neck to the tuning heads. They can be made out of nylon, brass, steel, or a combination. The strings travel from the 'Bridge' on the body, across the sound hole, along the 'Fret Board', which is attached to the front-side of the neck, and finally arriving at the tuning heads where they are wrapped around tuning posts. You can even buy an acoustic guitar so small that fits into a hiking backpack. If a cloth isn't run over and under them, from time to time, the sound becomes very dull. No matter where you buy your guitar, if you know what to look for, and spend a little extra effort in your search for that 'perfect' guitar, not only will your fingers thank you, but also your ears, and all those who will come to join you around the campfire, or even go to see you in concert. Strings that are light, or extra light, are very thin and usually have a brighter sound to them, but are also quieter sounding than heavy strings. Prices for a custom-built guitar vary considerably, depending on the skill level of the craftsperson you contract the job to, but, as a rule, they are generally quite higher than a commercially built guitar of "similar" quality. This is the part you press the strings onto to make chords or play individual notes. Nylon strings are usually only found on Classical guitars and Student guitars, because they're easier on the fingertips. Strings that come from a package marked 'Heavy' are usually quite thick in size and sound "beefy". FRET BOARD: The fret board is glued to the front of the neck. Commercially built guitars are usually mass manufactured. Metal bridges are best, but on most acoustics they are either hard plastic or wood. The body tends to be the part that also gets scratched, damaged, and generally banged-up the most. There's a difference between getting a bargain and buying cheap.

Also, choosing the right acoustic can be tough, especially these days, when there are so many styles to choose from.Knowing how to choose the right guitar and how to identify a bad one will save you from countless headaches, not to mention finger aches.Acoustic guitar bodies come in basically the same shape, with some variations, but they do vary in size, colour, wood-type, style, and extra features. String choices are purely personal taste. If the strings are too far above the fret board, then they will be hard to press down, making the guitar hard to play. Because it's glued on separately, a fret board can be made of a wood that's different from the neck. Guitars come in a very wide range of prices, but when it comes to instruments, in general, you get what you pay for, especially when you buy new. Each custom built guitar is unique and therefore hard to compare in price to a commercially built guitar. DC Immunity current transformer The bridge is like an anchor-point for the strings. They are custom built and tailored to your specifications by a highly skilled guitar maker. STRINGS: Acoustic guitar strings, come in a wide variety of 'flavours'. Strings sets come in different 'weights', or sizes. Bridges have a tendency to crack and split over a long period of time. The most common type of guitar in use today is the folk-style of guitar.

This is the guitar you will see played around most campfires and parties, and is the one found in most music groups, church choirs, and in the corner of most homes. BRIDGE: The Bridge is normally located on the front of the body, by the sound hole, and on the side of the hole opposite to the neck. A guitar with the strings too far above the fret board, also known as having a 'high action', will cause the player's fingers to hurt so much that they are likely to put the guitar away in discouragement and possibly stop playing altogether. "Custom-made" guitars are exactly that. Understanding some of the parts of a guitar will definitely help you when it comes to the Pre-Purchase Checklist. The more often strings are played, the dirtier they get. The tuning heads are then turned by hand, which then turns the posts, making the strings tighter or looser, thus affecting their 'tuning'. NECK: This is the long piece extending from the body and ends at the 'head' of the guitar where the 'Tuning Heads' are, also known as 'machine heads'. When a beginner plays a guitar, initially his or her fingertips are very soft and need to be hardened. Under 'normal' circumstances, a used guitar can usually be purchased cheaper and has already gone through its "break-in" period

The product with a nice packaging

Website becomes a frustration because of its inability to function well. People are persuaded by senses but also motivated by reason. One that is pretty is very tempting. Another, when they are not secure with your website's environment they will not feel 'at home', accordingly, it will limit their decisions and purchasing transactions. Thus, a book with fabulous cover and catchy title will likely to generate more sales, the same way that the dish with luscious presentation and extra-ordinary garnishing will be the first to be tasted. Is it to order, to call - say it, and you got to do it politely to create a good impression.

And the arresting website will no longer be visited if found to be useless and lacking. After visiting the site, it must give a clear perspective on what you want your visitors to do next. Nevertheless, if we have already found out that our needs and wants are not what the certain product or service is giving, then our intellect will dictate us to find another that will attend to us. A dish will taste blandly if the one who eats it doesn't like its savor. If the load time, page size and navigability are disastrous, what do you expect to happen? Visitors can tend to be impatient. It doesn't guarantee a fulfilling gift. But why are other people saying pretty sites mean fewer sales? Is being pretty not enough? Well, that is exactly the point that I want to deal with. What is important is the totality of the box including its contents. The product with captivating packaging will be the first to be reached out from its shelf and a website with arresting layout and design will be the first to be appreciated.

A pretty site becomes irritating when overdosed with graphics and effects. It must be user-friendly or easy to use. Many people are scampering their way to own a flashy website. The product with a nice packaging will stay in the trash bin if the purchaser did not like its content. And for a site to be fulfilling it must have the four indispensable elements - simplicity, functionality, security and customer interaction. This attitude is in fact an advantage however it must be coupled with a lot of things in order to perfect the Mini Current Transformer craft. Utilize the 4 indispensable elements and you will surely optimize your sales!. We are easily fascinated by beauty.

A book will turn out to be annoying if the reader finds out that it's not what they expected it to be. That way search engines can easily find them. One of the biggest mistakes of web sites is its being oblivion of call-to-action concerns. The secret ingredient is FULFILLMENT not just satisfaction. This is because desire starts from our brain and works its way to our senses. A pretty site is nothing but a pretty box. Because of their hectic time, they can leave almost straight away and never to return. For it to be easily located, use keyword rich titles and contents

Try this: let her know that you cherish her in both words and deeds; help out around the house (like doing dishes or cooking a meal); and touch her romantically but not sexually from time to time. Before you get all excited, though, remember, you're doing it for her, which doesn't mean it will (necessarily) lead to a full body massage for both of you.Experiment with washing dishes, cleaning up the kitchen, doing a load of laundry or two, and if you're brave, prepare a meal for the family. In case you haven't heard, sex begins in the kitchen. Line up a sitter ahead of time. But, since you both work, why not try helping out around the house a little bit from time to time, besides your normal Mr. In other words, your number 1 need as a man - sex - will more times than not be met by your wife when you make meeting her needs your priority.

Letting your wife know that you cherish and care about her outside the bedroom can work wonders as far as breathing new life into your marriage goes. Think back massage. After all, you're in it together. Sex may not make the world go 'round, but it can certainly play a part in sustaining a marriage. Remember before you were dating, you used to actually go out on dates Terminal Blocks and do things together? Even if the kids are a challenge, set aside a weekly or at least monthly date night for just the two of you. Why not show it with your actions?Ok, by now, you're on a roll. Yeah, I realize that you pitch in and mow the lawn and do the fixing around the house. You've done a few things to help out around the house, but I'd encourage you to do more in order to win her heart back. Tender touch in a caring, romantic but non-sexual way, helping to ease her physical tension in her back.

temples or wherever she directs you is the order of the day. I'm not saying that you need to do double duty by doing all the household chores all the time. Remember to keep your hands above her waist, unless she specifies otherwise. Although a man's greatest need is arguably sex, a woman's #1 need is drastically different. If you feel you've grown distant over the years, take the time to get to know her all over again, just like you did when you first got together. This is the first simple thing you could do that - believe it or not - could end up turning her on OUTSIDE the bedroom. But, when you notice she's a bit behind, stop what you're doing, pitch in, and come alongside her. fix it or lawn-mowing duties? This could be an especially significant gesture if she comes home from work exhausted or has had a really rough day all around. Here's your opportunity to really meet her needs, which may very well turn out in your best interest, as it could lead to a lot more than just pillow talk. . Say your wife is just wiped out from work

Now a fully integrated GM division

Now a fully integrated GM division, Saturn is getting additional vehicles to help beef up its line up.The Antera is slightly smaller in size than the current Saturn VUE; although the Antera reportedly will have only two doors, the Saturn VUE model will get four doors. This smaller size also permits Saturn to introduce a slightly larger 7 passenger SUV next year, the Outlook.

While it is too early to know all the details about the upcoming Saturn VUE makeover, there are some things we do know about this revamped model. With the demise of Oldsmobile has come new life for Saturn.Along with the coming Aura midsize sedan which is heavily based on an Opel design, the Saturn VUE will be based upon the Opel Antera GTC.The 2008 Saturn VUE will feature both four and six cylinder gas powered engines. Both vehicles are closer in size to the current Toyota RAV4 and Honda CR-V models, their chief competitors. Drawing upon its highly regarded dealer network and high consumer satisfaction scores, Saturn is being quickly remade into a European style division.

A base price of around $20,000 for the FWD model is likely with fully loaded AWD versions retailing for as high as $30K. Unfortunately, none of the three models were stand out performers, so the brand suffered accordingly. Instead, the SUV will get new life and additional support via its new relationship with Opel. Along with the Outlook, the Aura, the SKY roadster, the RELAY crossover, and the ION compact, new life is being breathed into Saturn thanks to Opel.S. Beyond that, the VUE will likely incorporate current GM technology with upgraded safety and performance features included.. Expect both AWD and RWD to be offered. Currently based strictly on U.Ever since Saturn released the first "S Series" models back in 1990, the company has struggled to maintain a unique identity. Neglected by parent GM, the upstart Saturn brand had to wait nearly a decade before additional vehicles were added to its line including the Saturn VUE SUV. technology, the 2008 VUE is expected to be heavily based on Opel technology: Opel is General Motors' principal European brand. This is good news for Saturn fans that have loyally supported the automaker since its inception more than 15 years ago.

The Antera's front end will be redone to mesh with the current Saturn look. Along with the "L Series" midsize cars, the three vehicle lines [ION having replace the S Series] fully comprised the Saturn line for several years. An Antera concept has been making the rounds of auto shows across Europe and what we know about the Antera points to what we can expect to see with the VUE. This is good news for those who were concerned that GM would ditch the RoHS compliant Two-phase Relay Saturn VUE.The 2008 Saturn VUE will be built in Spring Hill, TN home of the original Saturn plant.General Motors' Saturn division is hard at work on building a replacement for its small SUV, the Saturn VUE. Saturn has Opel to thank for that

It's not something you do once

" Becerril knows a number of children who have power chairs who leave them at school, and use a manual chair at home." Growing With the ChildBoth the X-shaped cross brace (black) and the front frame sections (blue) can be replaced as a child grows." She offers an important rule of thumb: "There should be no more than three fingers worth of space between the front of the seat and the back of the legs. Choosing a lighter chair, and one with some removable hardware, can make a big difference. This is the child's mobility, and his independence. We can suggest ways to make it easier, such as use of a transfer board, or a Hoyer lift in appropriate situations. "If the child does not have the trunk strength to maintain their upright posture, we need to do it with laterals. While there is some expense along the way, it's still cheaper than replacing the chair." What does it mean for a chair to grow with the child? The idea may be new to those who think of the clunky "one-size-fits-all" sling back chairs as the only type there is. On the other hand, if the tilt is fixed, we'll support the higher side, so it takes up some of the weight. ." Seiberlich and Becerril note that they can't make all the decisions regarding the choice of a chair, either. Most chairs today can be widened by changing the cross brace supports underneath, and lengthened by replacing the front frame sections that hold the leg supports. Some of the kids are still flexible, so by raising the lower side, we may be able to level out the pelvis. "We want to know who's going to be doing them (transfers), and we want the parents to demonstrate how they're doing them." There should be at least half an inch between the hips and the side of the chair. Simple problems can easily be fixed at home. "Children with scoliosis (curvature of the spine), whether or not it has been stabilized with spinal fusion, may have some left-right tilt in the pelvis," Seiberlich says. "For instance, does the height of the chair put the child above or below classmates? Can we make small changes to get it looking more streamlined, if that's what the child wants?

If we can think of these things up front, it can save a lot of time and expense later on. "We're looking to distribute the weight over as big an area as possible, for support, for comfort and to prevent skin breakdown. "Lots of kids want the sports frame look: It's got a low profile and looks great. "For instance," Becerril says, "one of the most fundamental issues in choosing a chair is transportation. The issues at school can be quite different from those at home. With any more than this, the seat is not providing enough thigh support, and the chair may dig into the legs." If needed for lateral support, a chest harness can be used as well. Social and educational factors come into play here as well. Other alternatives include air-filled or gel-filled cushions. For more prolonged use, or when stability in the chair becomes an issue, a high-quality foam cushion becomes preferable. For those who aren't in the wheelchair for many hours at a time, a flat seat may be appropriate. Even then, the transportation issue remains a problem. A thorough inspection of the whole chair once a week is a good idea: Check the brakes, look for loose hardware, and check the tires and seat. They need to check the buttocks, the back, the feet, and the back of the legs. However, these frames are rigid: they can't be folded, and they can't grow with the child. How will the chair be moved from home to school? If the answer is in the back of a station wagon, then a power chair is out. Again, we're trying to get more surface contact to lessen pressure," Seiberlich says. More involved ones can be taken care of by the vendor, who will almost always do maintenance for free. A really good cushion alone might be $300 or $400. "Here in the desert, we recommend airless inserts.Take a Team Approach Before BuyingNo parent should try to choose a chair for their child all by themselves," says Chris Seiberlich. One good cactus spine and you've got a flat! Back East, we've got to consider the mud, the snow and the rain. The laterals shouldn't be too tight, and shouldn't dig into the armpits. Anywhere the chair is making contact, there's the potential for too much pressure. "The basis for good seating posture starts in the pelvis," Seiberlich says.

Also, you need to make sure that the footrests are low enough to get full contact for the whole thigh. "During the process of choosing a chair, we do a lot of transfer analysis," Seiberlich says. "We want the involvement of those people who see the child on a regular basis," Becerril says. Also, we want to show parents the signs of an improper fit. We can grow a chair from a seat that measures 10 inches by 10 inches to one that is 18 by 18. Final FittingOnce the chair has been ordered, Becerril says, expect a couple months delay before it arrives. She and her partner, Kimberly Becerril, an occupational therapist, are discussing how to choose and properly fit a wheelchair. This type of chair maintains the sitting posture, but tilts back to relieve some of the anti-gravity work for a while, combating fatigue. "Still, if they are lifting the child and the chair several times a day, they are at a big risk for developing back problems. You have to think about a huge spectrum of issues. We can make mistakes if we do it ourselves, but if we have the whole team, we can cover all the bases. "That means the parents, of course, because they know the child best. Even with spinal fusion, they may need them to help prevent tipping. "Things come up you can't foresee. A lot of our kids would benefit from a power chair, but unless the transportation issue can be solved, it won't be the right choice." "We also want to know about the inside of the home: Will an otherwise ideal chair have trouble getting through narrow doorways? If so, and there's no money to redo the home, we've got to change our thinking," Becerril says. "Parents can make these adjustments, if they know what to look for," Seiberlich says. It's important to get it right. Becerril notes that most of this is covered by insurance for many families. And expense is a huge issue: A manual wheelchair with custom seating can cost $5,000, while a power chair might be four times that. It also makes sitting more difficult, as you don't get the same amount of surface holding you up. Finally, Seiberlich returns to the transportation issue to stress an important safety rule. Even with a van, a power chair is going to need a ramp, because it's too heavy to lift in. One of our clients who got a chair with rigid footrests went from independent transfers to requiring two people to move him." She notes that pressure sores, or decubitis, are a critical concern with prolonged seating. "We can choose the wheels based on how rough the ground is around the home," Seiberlich says. Luckily, we were able to recycle the chair to someone for whom it made more sense.

It's not something you do once and it's done: Kids grow fast, and their condition can change fast, so you need to monitor the fit constantly." When it's time to choose individual components, Seiberlich and Becerril want to hear about lifestyle, terrain and environment. So we wouldn't recommend one of these at least until they are finished growing." Seiberlich adds, "We always want parents to be checking for redness, because this indicates too much pressure. "With this system, we can take a child from a very young age through the teen-age years with the same chair." Becerril notes that a "tilt-in-space" chair may be appropriate for someone with very little trunk strength. "Authorization takes time, and typically we're dealing with several different companies, and it's a custom product. Lateral supports may be an important element as well. "Is the chair appropriate for the school setting?" Seiberlich says." Once the chair arrives, the hands-on fitting process may take two to three hours, Becerril explains." MaintenanceIn addition to monitoring the fit of the chair, Seiberlich 5A/10A Latching Relay for Smart Home stresses the importance of regular maintenance. We may need a molded back to match up to the spinal curvature. Distributing that weight is the key." Seiberlich adds, "We also would never recommend a chair without removable armrests or footrests. "The chair should be washed regularly, using a spray cleaner. We had one mother with bruises all over her legs from constantly lifting the chair. "We can't always use a standard flat back or sling back. Seiberlich is a physical therapist at Children's Clinics for Rehabilitative Services in Tucson , Ariz. "And if you buy the right kind of chair, one that can grow with the child, that investment can last 10 or 12 years. And the frames are warranted for life," Becerril says. "We'll describe the need, and the supplier can describe what they have to meet it. Nothing related to wheelchairs ever happens quickly. "Chairs are generally not crash-tested, and the pelvic strap that keeps you in the seat is not as strong as a seat belt." Becerril points out that change in temperature can change the inflation pressure of tires and air-filled or gel-filled seats. "Make sure you choose a color you're not going to be sick of in a few years!" Seating and SupportOne of the most critical decisions regarding chair options, and one for which professional input is most crucial, is the choice of a seating cushion. "It's not that they aren't qualified to make decisions, but there are too many to be made by any one person. "Most parents who've never seen a board are surprised by what a difference they can make," she adds. And anytime they think there's a problem they can't fix, we want them to come in." Scoliosis also figures into the choice of the back. "But we like to see the child in his chair at least once a year, especially if he's still growing. Recliner chairs, which allow a prone position, are used more often for those unable to tolerate the normal angles of seated posture. Most cushions are washable, or have washable covers. But we also want the school involved, especially the teacher or therapist who sees the child daily functioning outside the home." Becerril says that they also want the chair supplier involved, to tell them what's available." Lifestyle and Environment What's the right style of chair? While this will depend on individual needs and preferences, Becerril offers some important guidelines. We recommend that a child be on the car seat, strapped in using the car's seat and shoulder belts. "In such cases, we can use the seating system to minimize the effects of the tilt
